Reading Values Without Overreading Them

Peel adhesion measures removal force, initial tack measures early contact, and static shear measures resistance to sustained parallel load. Tensile strength is force at break; elongation is stretch before break. Results from different substrates, peel angles, dwell times, speeds, or conditioning are not directly equivalent.

Stainless steel provides a repeatable reference, while corrugated board varies in fiber, porosity, roughness, dust, moisture, printing, and coating. Clear-grade optical limits belong with the super clear BOPP carton sealing tape; print construction belongs with custom printed carton sealing tape.

A 7-Day Sample Verification Record

Keeping Stored Rolls Comparable to Tested Rolls

Store rolls in sealed original packaging under grade-confirmed temperature and humidity. Avoid sunlight, condensation, freezing, sustained heat, edge pressure, leaning stacks, and heavy compression. Quarantine rolls with distorted cores, crushed edges, telescoping, blocking, or water-damaged packaging.
